My Work

Monolithic Studio Time

Some time ago I embarked on a large public art project. Getting through the Request For Proposal (RFP) and approval processes was its own lengthy odyssey; a process that I had learned about in college. But like so many things, knowledge and training in a subject are often overcome by the realities of the actual experience. Experience is the best teacher.

This particular education could not be purchased except through time and with a lot of sweat equity. This is a monolithic sculpture project with a gallery of numerous pictures. These and comments help illuminate the much of the creative process to create this work.

ICT installation

Installation of this sculpture signals the project’s end. Before that come a lot of planning, design, prototyping, fabrication and testing. View the gallery below, to explore this sculpture’s creation and time in the studio.
