E. P. Sousa (aka Beth) started an art career somewhere in their 3rd year of life with Mural in Red Lipstick on Kitchen Wall.  At seven years old, in a different kitchen, the proclamation “I am going to be a professional artist” was made to an amused and nervous parent.  This parent soon relented and took the budding sculptor to LACMA (the Los Angeles County Museum of Art) for a Calder exhibit.  As if that was not enough to seal their fate, at the tender age of 16, a prospective client reached out with a proposal to create art for a local non profit.  Their professional art career began.  That event also confirmed their suspicion that the trope of “the starving artist” is FALSE.  It became abundantly clear that one could indeed make a career of creating art.  Decades of professional experience has revealed that Beth also has a passion for helping others navigate the vagaries of a creative career; but that is the subject of a different website, doing art is what this site is about.
